Hi there, I'm Samantha! It’s going to be a fun filled year full of lots of learning and new adventures that I cannot wait to take! Just a little about me, I received my Bachelor's degree from Missouri Western State University in Early Childhood Education with an additional certification in Early Childhood Special Education plus I have a Master's degree from Northwest Missouri State University in Curriculum, Instruction, and Engagement. I am originally from a little town, not many have heard of, in Northeast Missouri, before moving to the Kansas City area to begin my teaching career. My family and I relocated to the St. Louis area in summer (2018). This will be my eleventh year teaching. In my teaching journey I have taught first grade, second grade, and third grade!
I have three dogs, a Sheltie named Belle, a mini dachshund named Jazzy, and an Aussie named Aurora, can you guess where I got their names? I married my high school sweetheart; Zach and we have two beautiful children, Zuri and Ezekiel. I am an avid lover of sweet tea, 80s movies and music, and chocolate. In my free time I love to spend time with my loved ones, read, bake, and travel.
