Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Tammy Fauss

Hi! My name is Tammy Fauss (rhymes with “house” or “mouse”), and I am excited to be joining the team at Robinson Elementary School for the 2022-2023 school year.

I am the new school counselor for the third, fourth and fifth grades. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor.

My desire to help others began early in my life. In fact, my first-grade teacher, Mrs. Felty, in Champaign, Illinois, wrote on my report card: “Tammy is an empathetic student who enjoys helping others.” And yes, I still have it!  So, becoming a counselor was naturally the best career choice for me.

My prior work experience includes Hawthorn Children's Psychiatric Hospital, where I held several roles, most recently as a therapist facilitating individual, group and family therapy for children to treat mental disorders and trauma for the past seven years.

I also worked for BJC Behavioral Health as a children's case manager, where I coordinated resources for children with mental health diagnoses and their families for nearly three years.

I graduated from the University of Missouri–St. Louis with a master’s degree in school counseling with a K-12 certification. I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Missouri in Columbia. And to answer the ubiquitous St. Louis question: Parkway North High School.

In my time away from work, I enjoy spending time with family, friends and my 5-year-old rescue dog, Coco. She is blind and happily sniffs and listens her way through life like a little champ. I also like traveling, baking, going to concerts and attending sporting events (Go Blues and Cardinals!).

I’m looking forward to working with all the Robinson Roadrunners and getting to know everyone. My word for this year is “togetherness,” as I hope to both provide and receive a lot of support.

As always, let’s strive for progress, not perfection.
