• Summer School 2021

There are several programming options for student learning this summer, with in-person and online options for current K-12 students.

    • Kirkwood will to offer JumpStart options at the elementary and middle school level, providing identified students with targeted supports.
    • Rising 8th graders identified for Algebra JumpStart can participate in online coursework through KSD.
    • High school students will have on-campus options for credit recovery and limited credit enhancement choices, online and in-person.
    • In-person Extended School Year will be offered to qualifying students through Special School District
    • All Kirkwood students (K-12) can enroll in enrichment, extension, and/or credit enhancement courses through LAUNCH, a virtual course access provider based in Springfield Public Schools.  We are excited to offer this opportunity to all KSD students, at no cost to families or our district.

You will be notified by your school if your child qualifies for Kirkwood or SSD programming.  KHS will also communicate with families about credit enhancement options.

We encourage all families to review LAUNCH information on our website.  Use the grade level links to the left to start your journey.  Please note that families interested in LAUNCH programming will register directly with Kirkwood this year, NOT with Springfield School District.
