An exciting astronomical event is coming to Missouri!
The southeast region of the state will experience a total solar eclipse. Here in Kirkwood, 98.8% of the sun will be covered by the moon. The deepest part of the eclipse will be at about 2 p.m.
At no point during the eclipse is it safe to view without safety glasses. Thanks to the generosity of the Kirkwood School District Foundation, all students and staff will receive eclipse viewing glasses. For more on safe viewing, use the resources below or click here.
