Kirkwood High School Ranked #5 in the State by US News and World Report
U.S. News & World Report released its 2021 "Best High Schools" list this week. Kirkwood High School was named a "2021 U.S. News Best High School" and was ranked number five best Missouri High School.
The 2021 edition of Best High Schools includes a numerical ranking of nearly all public high schools nationwide – almost 18,000 of them. There are rankings within each state and within each census-designated metropolitan area that has three or more high schools, as well as the Best STEM Schools ranking and comprehensive Best Charter Schools and Best Magnet Schools rankings. Also published are rankings of high schools within each school district that has three or more high schools.
“Congratulations to the students, staff, and entire Kirkwood community for being recognized by U.S. News and World Report as a top high school in the country,” said KHS principal Dr. Mike Havener. “We are proud of this recognition and understand it takes all of us working together to make this recognition possible.”
Metro Academic and Classical High School, part of St. Louis Public Schools, ranked first on the listing, followed by Lincoln College Prep in Kansas City Public Schools, Ladue Horton Watkins High School, Clayton High School, and Kirkwood High School.
