Kirkwood High School Celebrates 70 Seniors Earning Scholarships and Athletic Singings
During a ceremony on Thursday, April 28, Kirkwood High School (KHS) recognized 70 students who are continuing their education at various institutions across the country and were awarded 50% or more of the cost of tuition for their academic accomplishments as well as students who are continuing their athletic career by participating in intercollegiate athletics. All students were recognized by senior class principal, Dr. Josh Flores, and the students participated in a ceremonial letter of intent signing.
“It is with an extreme level of honor and excitement that I congratulate you and your family members on this special day,” said Flores. “Your accomplishments and success did not happen by accident, chance, or luck. The fact that you are here provides testimony of your hard work, intelligence, perseverance, and commitment. Take these skills and abilities you have honed and worked hard to achieve to the next level, dare to be great, and put your mark on the world. I have confidence you will own your success in whichever area of academic study you pursue.”
